    WHAT YOU DO

    The Restaurant IT Manager is primarily responsible for managing, developing, maintaining, and implementing the organization’s technology platforms and system integrations in alignment with the organization’s overall continued rapid growth and development.

     

    Management

    • Manages the Aloha Point of Sales (POS) system hardware, configuration, mapping, processes, and service records
    • Oversees the management of outsourced third-party IT service providers to implement changes and updates needed to the POS in conjunction with menu changes, promotions, pricing, job configuration, labor systems and other various components
    • Manages the security, access of various communication and data systems that contains sensitive data
    • Manages the company’s ongoing PCI (Credit Card) compliance
    • Manages inventories related to systems such as Maintenance/Service/Support
    • Ensures the IT infrastructure and systems are effective, reliable and appropriate for the current business and appropriate growth of the organization

    Development and Maintenance

    • Develops and maintains IT policies and procedure documents in order to satisfy compliance standards or that support organization strategy
    • Develops computer information resources, providing for data security and control, strategic computing, and problem recovery
    • Maintains Google Mail, Google Docs, store laptops, Chrome books, iPads, iPods, and other devices used at the corporate and store level
    • Maintains back-up files when necessary for business functions and meeting file retention obligations according to all applicable laws at the Municipal, State and Federal Level
    • Actively researches any advances in technology and security trends by reviewing pertinent publications and participating in IT community groups, webinars, conferences and events

    Implementation

    • Actively implement changes in software and hardware that is necessary for the company to operate efficiently and progress competitively
    • Performs server and security audits, system backup procedures, and other recovery processes in accordance with the company’s disaster recovery and business continuity strategies
    • Ensures compliance to Municipal, State, and Federal regulations and obligations
    • Ensures protection of data and accessibility is limited to appropriate users

    Collaboration

    • Coordinates and collaborates with the Leadership Team and store locations to effectively guide the strategy, systems and projects while prioritizing and allocating appropriate resources
    • Assists with integration between various systems (financial, operational, etc.) and actively pursues long-term platform solutions

     

    Position Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or other related fields
    • Requires a minimum of 3 years’ experience in Information Technology and Strategic / Management position
    • Requires working experience with Aloha or a similar Point-of-Sales (POS) software system
    • Experience working with finance and business teams
    • Experience with computer software and hardware
    • High attention to identifying alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems
    • High attention to detail
    • Ability to recognize problems and be able to communicate it with other team members
    • Ability to communicate across management levels in formal and informal settings
    • Ability to be flexible and integrate with change with minimal assistance
    • Ability to maintain a rational and objective demeanor when faced with stressful situations at-hand
    • Able to work well with others and provide a positive demeanor and approach to others
    • Passionate in the field of IT
