    The primary responsibilities of this position are to manage and facilitate a successful training process for New Restaurant Openings (NRO). The NRO Training Manager will work closely with the Area Manager and Culinary Department to ensure all new Team Members are receiving consistent, organized, and accurate training.



    • Responsible for overseeing the training execution of New Restaurant Openings
      • Champion training programs and materials in collaboration with the Training Department to optimize knowledge, skill, and abilities new store opening teams
      • Works hands on with the training Team to ensure training standards and being executed during daily training sessions
      • Works to develop the Trainers
      • Collaborates with field Operations Team including Area Managers, Beverage Department, and Culinary Department to plan specifics to the NRO
      • Promote a fun and positive work environment with a strong focus on side-by-side instruction and development 
      • Act as a brand ambassador for the company and provide communication through various mediums with a skilled ability to connect the company vision with the communities we serve
    • Works with opening Leadership Team to ensure they have all the support needed for successful hiring/opening (NRO Manual)
    • Works with Area Manager and Culinary Department to select Training Team
      • Coordinates travel, per diems, any specific procedures for opening Team
      • Responsible for pre-opening Training related expenses 
    • Checks in with Opening Leaders & AM on hiring progress each week leading up to the NRO
      • Works with HR to ensure all new Team Members are getting onboarded appropriately
      • Works with AM and store Leaders to ensure that hiring standards of the Company are met Training Process
      • Ensures Orientation is set up for NRO & training schedules have been distributed
    • Conducts Train the Trainer before training begins with the full opening team
    • Collaborates with Area Manager and NRO Leaders to ensure all items are available for the opening (smallwares orders, marketing orders, etc.)
    • Works with Training Team, Leaders, and AM to set up store with smallwares, operational tools, any food prep, and get the restaurant ready for training to begin
    • Collaborates with AM and Culinary to set pace for Trainers, review upcoming events, provides feedback before during and after the shift on performance
    • Ensures readiness for all daily training days and timelines
    • Reviews staffing concerns with AM and Culinary Team
    • Works with Accounting to provide accurate budget accruals and allocations for pre-opening expenses in a timely manner
    • Works with Content Manager to create updates as needed
    • Supports NRO post opening until staffing and training needs are met and fulfilled 
      • Coordinates any supplemental training that needs to occur based on needs of the store.
      • Collaborates with AM for continued training of any new Leaders Post-Opening
      • Works volume based shifts determined by needs of the NRO
      • Manages the Training Team schedules and communicates appropriately to the Leader Contingency
      • Creates alternative/contingency plans based on volume or needs of the NRO including additional trainers and travel
      • Works with AM to execute any approved plans




    The position requires 1-3 years in a multi-unit Training Role or equivalent experience. Must have experience working in a coordinator capacity for New Restaurant openings. Internal candidates must be in good standing and free of performance issues within 1-year time-period. Combined work experience and education will be considered in decisions. State Food Handler’s Management Certification is required
