    WHAT YOU DO

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

     

    The primary responsibilities of this job role are to monitor and manage the construction workflow associated with new and existing restaurant sites. This includes but is not limited to scheduling, budgeting, overseeing, and coordinating various maintenance and construction projects. This position requires excellent verbal and written communication skills and an attention to details.

     

    SPECIFIC JOB DUTIES

     

    • Reviews and validates blueprints with scheduled work projects
    • Identifies and adheres to budgets for assigned projects
    • Designs timelines with specific milestones to meet expected project outcome and results
    • Performs maintenance tasks required to complete projects or maintain facilities
    • Communicates with various departments on project timelines, obstacles, and outcomes
    • Travels to worksites to oversee, manage, and perform various assigned project tasks
    • Performs walkthroughs and audit of facilities with contractors and store operator
    • Constructs, communicates, and reviews job site budgets and costs
    • Reviews, makes recommendations and redlines work agreements and landlord agreements
    • Oversees punch lists and the completion of those tasks

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY

     

    This role is responsible for administering and monitoring various project management functions within the Development department. This requires supervision and management of individuals whose tasks are directly related to these functions.

     

    WORK ENVIRONMENT

     

    This job operates in both an inside office setting and at outside construction jobsites. This position will at times be exposed to the weather, dust, and debris from a construction site and may be required to use personal protective equipment to prevent exposure to hazardous materials. This position will come in contact with and use light machinery used to perform repairs and construction. The duties of this position will be performed at times in confined spaces and narrow passageways. The position is exposed to energetic music levels, sitting and typing for long periods of time (8+ hours) and also requires a level of comfort being ‘on the go’ and travelling between the office and various job sites as needed. The use of a phone, Mac/PC, printer and scanner are required.

     

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS

     

    The physical demands here are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This position requires both the ability to sit for extended periods of time (8+ hours), and the ability to walk/stand and sustain physical activity for extended periods of time (8+ hours) at others. Must be able to communicate effectively in both written and verbal form. Requires at times high and low levels of movement with the ability to reach with arms, kneel, crouch, climb, balance, and squat. Requires the grasping, carrying, lifting, pushing and pulling of items of 50 lbs. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

     

    Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

     

    Full-time position that requires a flexible schedule, office hours are 8 am to 6 pm, Mon. through Fri. however will be required to adjust schedule and work evenings, weekends, etc. to meet project requirements and deadlines.

     

    Requirements and Education

     

    • 3+ years as a construction project manager within restaurants or similar applicable experience
    • Understands and can demonstrate knowledge around the industry standards, materials, local polices, and processes to meet project quality and deadlines
    • Able to multi-task and perform various task as needed to complete projects
    • Ability to use Excel at above the intermediate level
    • Strong ability to be organized and balance several priorities
    • Skilled in communicating with various personalities in a convincing and professional manner
    • Maintains high standards and is able to communicate and address others without hesitation regarding quality of work or appropriate charges for the work performed
    • Ability to travel when required
